Canyon Road Merlot
1.50L
Sku: 08500001631
Tasting notes
With a soft and elegant mouthfeel, this wine has deep flavors of rich cherries and jammy blackberries, followed by hints of vanilla and spice.
Review
Vintage: 2001 Wine Enthusiast Published 2003, December Steve Heimoff 85 Review: Well-made, with some clean blackberry flavors wrapped in rich tannins, and a dry finish. Not particularly varietal, but a pleasant, easy-drinking wine, and a good value. Should be easy to find, with 60,000 cases produced.
Technical notes
Grapes for this wine are sourced from many regions within California including the North and Central Coast appellations. This grape sourcing affords the winemaker the ability to choose only the best quality grapes. Traditional fermentation techniques used in conjunction with barrel aging yield a wine of great distinction.
Food pairing
Perfect with poultry and grilled meats or red pasta dishes
