Black Forest Girl Baden Dry
3 day lead-time required to confirm availability Why?
Situated near the Alsace region in France, the Baden highlands have been making wine for centuries. Compared to other regions, Badenís wines are somewhat rare on the international market. This is Germany’s 3rd largest wine region with over 15,000 hectares. Baden lies on the French border near Alsace and is warmer than most other German wine regions. Because of this, Baden is the only German region to be classified by the EU in Wine Growing Region B along with Alsace, Austria, and the Loire Valley. It runs long north to south, giving it a vast array of thriving varietals and different terroirs. Our Black Forest wines are produced by the collectives of small vineyards that produce 85% of Badenís wine. This wine is a blend of Pinot Blanc and Muller-Thurgau making it similar to a French Edelzwicker. This wine has great balance and is supple with notes of spice on the palate with a fresh, dry finish.
