Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards Port

The history of Port goes back to the 17th century when the British Empire dominated the world. Port originally came from Portugal. Whenever the British would start butting heads with the French and the French wine supply dried up, the Brits would turn to their neighbors to the South. Much of this wine, after the voyage to England in wooden casks, turned to vinegar before it could reach its destination. They learned that if they added “a bucket or two” of brandy to each cask, the fortified wine would be stable enough to withstand the trip. Port was born!
Most people, when they think of Port, think of an older relative that may have had a bottle stashed in the pantry to nip at to get them through those family reunions. We would like to tear down those old images and have you try this Port. You will agree that there is no better drink to sip around a campfire or in front of a roaring fire on a cold winter night.
