Quivira Vineyards is a small, family owned winery located in Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County, California. Owner Pete Kight purchased the property from Henry and Holly Wendt in 2006. All estate vineyards are organic, and Quivira was certified biodynamic in 2005 by Demeter, the sole US biodynamic certification agent. Electricity is generated via solar panels. Winemaker Steven Canter began his career in California and honed his skills in Oregon, Australia, Italy and South Africa. Pete and Steven aim for balance and elegance in their wines.

Tasting notes

A Sauvignon Blanc with structure, the tropical fruit notes pair nicely with bright, mouthwatering acidity.

Technical notes

The grapes were picked during several different passes; the goal was to harvest fruit at different stages of ripeness and when blended together, the wine would express classic “Old World” characteristics of grassiness, balanced acids and nuanced fruit. Fermented in stainless steel and neutral oak (20%).
