Fattoria di Faltognano Chianti Montalbano
3 day lead-time required to confirm availability Why?
Fattoria di Faltognano is located in the hills of Montalbano, between Florence and Pisa. Bought by descendents of the Bardzky Comparini family around 1,000 A.D, the vineyards are planted downhill towards the town of Vinci, where the sandstone and calcareous soils found on the slopes blends with the sandy clays from the lower Arno plain. Given the longevity of the estate, the vines at Faltognano have naturally evolved over time and are now singular clones perfectly suited to the area’s soils and climate. The estate vineyards are planted at different altitudes, effecting ripening periods. Each parcel is harvested at the optimal peak of ripeness, handpicked, destemmed and vinified separately.
